Update...

Well hello dear friends! My sweet mom as well as our entire family are absolutely overwhelmed with the response to this blog. Your prayers and words of encouragement have brought life, encouragement and joy to all of us. Thank you-thank you-thank you! It is very clear that this woman is one loved cookie!! ;) She continues to amaze me with her zest for life and her constant laughter.

My mom wanted me to write a quick little "How To" section for all you first time bloggers (most likely in her generation;) ). I know some of you were having trouble finding out how to read other people's comments. Scroll down to the bottom of the post. You will see it say "Posted by Lindsay Beall at 2:51pm" Directly to the right of the that says "38 comments"...or whatever number it is.... Click on the the "Comments" and it will take you to a page where you can read others comments as well as write one of your own. Hope this helps.

Now here are some words from Pamela Sue herself...

Dear Family and Friends,

Even though the process is taking longer than I thought, I finally will meet with a specialist at OHSU this Thursday to find out the details of my treatment. We will update the blog at that time. In the meantime, all of your encouraging notes have made these days of waiting so much easier. I really feel your thoughts and prayers and am energized by your care and concern.

Love you all,
Pam

Dear Pam,
I have messed up 4 times with sending my e-mail...do you think I need help? Such a doofus! Its not that difficult...but every time I press "send" it doesn't seem to connect. So one more time!
First off...I am on my knees in prayer for you! Please know how very much you me to me and to everyone whose life you have touched with your beautiful smile and warm personality.
So...here's the deal...take the Lords hand and just trust him completely...as a child would take its Mothers hand, and get through this chemotherapy. He has a wonderful plan..lets claim His help for you, His guidance and wonderful miracle working powers...as He says there is no limit to His powers and to leave the rest to Him! AMEN! Then you can move on to living your life as fully as ever!
We will be meeting soon at Petes Coffee, laughing, yakking and giggling as usual! Can't wait...I miss you!
I love you and will be praying for you. "Where two or more are gathered...I am there".
Hugs,
Sherry
I will check your blogspot every day...thank you Lindsay!

Pam,

Sean just informed me of the obstacle that lies in front of you. The great thing about obstacles is that you can always get over or around them, and you typically end up better off from the challenge. I know that I don't know you all that well, but what I do know is that if anyone has the strength and positive energy to beat this darn thing, it is you. In the immortal words of famed basketball coach Jim Valvano, "Don't give up! Don't ever give up!" You will be in my prayers, as will the entire Beall Family. By the way, I want to let all of those in "Pam's generation" know that this generation X'er is a first time blogger...I guess it beats sending letter's via pony express.

Dear Pam,
Thank you for sharing your news with me yesterday. We have only met by phone once. Sharing your news has allowed me to feel connected with you. Our son is a 14 year cancer survivor and I was by his side during his treatments and the "roller coaster" of ups and downs along the way. He was 17years old when diagnosed and was just married a month ago! God was with us every step of the way, although I must admit, I didn't always feel His presence. I am reminded of "Footprints," where a man was going through difficult times and felt alone. He noticed that during the most troublesome times, there was only one set of footprings and he didn't understand. The Lord replied, "My son, My precious child. I love you and would never leave you. During your times of trial and suffering when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you." You are being remembered in our prayers and know that God is with you during the "up" times as well as the "down" times.

Oh my, Pam.
My shock was so large that I replied directly to your email address. But my reply was OPTIMISTIC because I know you will fight your way through this and get back on track!
I will say a prayer for you every day.
You inspired Luisa and me so much in the first year of my daughter's life -- she describes our Wee Sing singing sessions in that amazing year. And you and your husband were so friendly and receptive when we talked those 5-6 times.
I respect your work and creation so much that your blurb will go on the front of my book cover (publication date: March 20).
Get well soon!!!

Dearest Pam,
You dear angel... We're so glad to have an update on how you are doing. Now we have a very specific way to pray for you. Lindsay, you did a wonderful job of explaining about the complications of the bile duct and reason for the blood counts to be all messed up.
God has His job cut out for healing, and we know He can give you the strength to fight the good fight. You are a "tough old bird" just like me. Together we are going to get well and celebrate!!! Keep up that wonderful spirit you have, Pam, and that sweet smile on your face.
The Lord Bless You and Keep You... The Lord His Countenance to Shine Upon You and Give You Peace. With love, hugs, smiles, comfort, and
abounding hope. We love you very much, Phyl, Coby, and Maggie (she sends you poochie smooches) :o)
